Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Department of Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic dedicated to gender equality and empowerment of women. The department serves as the body responsible for gender equality in Slovakia and as the coordinator for the implementation of horizontal prirciples antidiscrimination nad equality between women and men in the projects cofinanced by European structural and investments funds.

Department of Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities is also responsible for the coordination of the Committee on Gender Equality which is a standing committee of the Governmental Council for Human Rights, Minorities and Gender Equality. It also cooperates with women NGOs in Slovakia which database is listed here.

On the web page you can find some basic documents and information related to gender equality which are available in English.
